Overwatch’s official Twitter account has announced what fans everywhere have been eagerly awaiting. The newest Lunar New Year Event, The Year of the Dog has begun.

The Year of the Dog brings a lot of great changes our way and best of all, lots of new loot. Allow me to break down what awaits you with this year’s Lunar Event.
Capture the flag has returned, but it’s not the capture the flag you remember from last year. There’s a brand new map that’s been built exclusively for capture the flag named Ayutthaya, that’s based in Thailand and combines elements of modern and historic design. Draws are now a thing of the past thanks to the introduction of sudden death mode. There’s two game modes available as well, capture the flag and capture the flag competitive. Should you decide to try and climb the ladder within competitive capture the flag, you stand the chance to earn a custom player icon and spray. The competitive season and the Lunar Event will last four weeks, which is a full week longer than last year’s event.

Now for what you really care about, the loot! Six new legendary skins are available for the following heroes: Genji, Widowmaker, Pharah, McCree, Mercy and Zarya. McCree’s getting spoiled as he also receives a new highlight intro in which he tosses his cigar into a pile of fireworks with predictable results. Two new emotes are available for Roadhog and Doomfist. With Roadhog pulling out his secret friend and Doomfist ripping a giant rock out of the ground.
