April 11, 2018’s 5 in 5: The five comic books you should buy this week

Another big milestone this week as Captain America hits issue #700.

Welcome to the latest edition of 5 in 5, where we break down the five comic books that need to be on your pull list this week! There are a lot of great comics this week, including some that have made 5 in 5 before. Perhaps most importantly is Marvel’s Captain America #700, a huge milestone of an issue that features artwork from Jack Kirby himself. Also from Marvel this week is Darth Vader #14, continuing Charles Soule’s excellent exploration of the character.

DC is also having a big week as well, with The Immortal Men #1, coming out of Dark Nights: Metal. A fan favorite villain from Metal makes his return this week to creep and scare the hell out of us.

It’s Image Comics that cleans up this week, though, taking the #1 and #2 spots with Gideon Falls and Robert Kirkman’s Oblivion Song.
