It might only be the teaser trailer before we get any real, actual footage but that doesn’t matter — anything Game of Thrones related as we march towards the eighth and final season is more than welcome.
And even a minute-long teaser trailer is enough to fuel months of discussion as we hunker down and wait for the April 2019 premiere on HBO. Such as, does this teaser foreshadow the North and Daenerys being overwhelmed by the White Walkers? Does the burning lion suggest the Lannisters will be burned in dragonfire or instead chosen by R’hllor to face the Walkers in a final battle of ice and fire? Does the newly formed wall of black stone suggest Dragonglass?
These next four months can’t pass quickly enough.
