MJF suffers elbow injury at AEW Fight for the Fallen

MJF was pulled from an indie show due to the injury.

It appears that MJF suffered an elbow injury at last night’s AEW PPV event, Fight for the Fallen.

The injury was announced today on social media by Inspire Pro Wrestling, an indie wrestling company based out of Austin, Texas. MJF was scheduled to appear tonight at Inspire’s event at the Blue Genie in Austin to defend the Pure Prestige Championship in a match against Ricky Starks.

Inspire also shared that due to the injury MJF sustained, he will be vacating the Pure Prestige Championship. Furthermore, to insure MJF doesn’t cause further damage to his elbow, he will not be appearing at the company’s Triplemania event next week.

MJF will become an exclusive AEW talent soon, so Inspire isn’t sure that they will be able to book the fan favorite heel again any time soon.

This news makes MJF the second wrestler to be injured at Fight for the Fallen last night, as fellow AEW talent Britt Baker suffered a concussion during her tag match.
