It was an exciting episode of WWE Backstage on FS1 Tuesday night. CM Punk made a surprise appearance and we learned that both The Miz and Paige have signed new multi-year deals with WWE. But that’s not all, fans also received an injury update on Samoa Joe and Johnny Gargano.
We haven’t seen Samoa Joe in a few months now, the WWE Superstar has been out of action dealing with a nagging thumb injury. Tuesday evening he made an appearance as a guest host on WWE Backstage and provided fans with an update on his injury status thanks to a prompting from Renee Young.

Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin provided an injury update on Johnny Gargano, sharing that Johnny Takeover will be unable to wrestle at NXT TakeOver: War Games due to a neck injury. The severity of the injury is unknown at this time.
The last time fans caught Gargano on NXT was during a segment with Finn Balor and the Undisputed Era, during which Balor attacked Gargano and turned heel.
