Veranus, is an elite proto-dragon and broodmother of the proto-drakes located in The Storm Peaks in World of Warcraft lore. In upcoming Hearthstone expansion Descent of Dragons, Veranus bolsters the Hunter class’ repertoire as a Legendary Dragon minion with a powerful Battlecry.

Although Veranus boasts a powerful Battlecry, the card will have to work in combination with other cards, as you don’t want to waste a 6-mana 7/6 on the board without taking advantage of its effect. The difficulty could lie in finding the proper support cards to combo with (Unleash the Hounds plus this would clock in at 9-mana); having Desert Spear already active is the best tempo utilization that stands out at first glance.
