Andrade wins United States Championship at MSG house show

El Idolo de los Estados Unidos.

Andrade defeated Rey Mysterio last night at Madison Square Garden to become the new WWE United States Champion.

While this is a shocking development considering the title change went down at a house show, the post-Christmas Madison Square Garden shows are a time-honored tradition in WWE. In addition, multiple title changes have occurred in MSG, even if they weren’t televised — AJ Styles won the same title at Madison Square Garden back in 2017.

Where this leaves Raw storylines is anybody’s guess, as we most recently saw a newly villainous Seth Rollins set his sights on the red, white and blue belt, but he seems to have now shifted his focus to Samoa Joe.

Congratulations to Andrade on his first main roster championship!
