Youth is a new ComiXology originals series by Curt Pires and Alex Diotto about two queer teenagers who run away from their lives in a bigoted small town and then…something happens. It’s a science fiction story with its second issue out today (read the preview to issue #2 here). From left to right (NOTE: The abilities of the five are incubational and new powers are manifesting and continue to manifest as time from exposure increases. The exact nature and scope of powers is, as such, impossible to predict at this moment):
FRANK – Introverted. Intelligent. A bit reserved and anxious about the way the world perceives him. Making a conscious effort to put himself out there more.
Powers: Flight. Remaining powers unknown.
RIVER – More of a hothead. Impulsive but still has a good heart.
POWERS: Flight. Super Strength. Heat vision.
TRIXY – Outgoing and flirtatious. The most sexually liberated of the group. Also very empathetic and smart.
POWERS: Energy absorption / redistribution.
JAN – Smart and Acerbic. She’s sort of the smartest of the group and functions more of a planner as far as things go than any of the others.
POWERS: Temporal Manipulation. Telepathy.
KURT – Loosey Goosey. Plays fast and loose with life. Better to ask forgiveness than permission.
POWERS: Flight. Super Strength.
