‘The Mandalorian’s new trailer is light on new footage, but provides two big reveals

The second trailer for Season 2 played things close to the vest, but still managed to give us some new information.

During halftime of this week’s Monday Night Football game, Disney unveiled a “special look” (i.e. new trailer) for Season 2 of The Mandalorian.

Unless I’m completely missing something, there wasn’t much we hadn’t seen already in the first trailer or the recent TV spot. That said, there were a couple of big things that jumped out:

  1. At 0:23, Din Djarin talks about seeking out “other Mandalorians” to help guide him in his quest to get The Child/Baby Yoda to the Jedi. I’m going to go out on a very strong limb and say that this will lead to him crossing paths with Katie Sackhoff’s Bo Katan. It also means there’s a chance he could run into Sabine Wrenn, which would be really cool.
  2. At 0:40, we see Cara Dune and Greef Karga driving a hijacked Imperial Troop Transport. During that bit of awesomeness, a familiar-looking blue alien pops up between them.

This pretty much confirms that the Mythrol who Din Djarin captured in the first episode (played by Horatio Sanz) will be back. It should be all types of uncomfortable/fun watching how he gets mixed up in things with this crew.

Season 2 of Star Wars: The Mandalorian premieres October 30 on Disney+.
