According to Walter Simonson via his Twitter account, a thief has taken many priceless works from John Buscema’s daughter Dianne Buscema-Gerogianis. Simonson took to Twitter to let his followers know and asked if anyone sees the art pop up on the internet to contact him.
Simonson linked to his Facebook account with more details on the art which includes over 45 original works. You can see scans of most of the art here. The art includes a Silver Surfer full page spread, numerous Conan the Barbarian pages, and an iconic Mephisto sketch.
Simonson went on in the Twitter thread speaking for Dianne Buscema-Gerogianis saying, “I cannot go into detail as the police and authorities have been notified. I am asking to please contact me if you hear or see anything for sale. I cannot post photos of everything that has been taken, but I am posting some.”
It appears the best way to contact them is via the Facebook and Twitter threads.
