Ahead of the launch of new series Heroes Reborn on May 5, Marvel Comics has released six new variant covers by artist Carlos Pacheco to give us new clues about important heroes in a world where the Avengers never existed. The variant covers give new details on the origins of Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, and more!
Glancing over the covers one can surmise Thor has turned to drink, Captain America had to free himself from the ice, Blade is living in the suburbs, Black Panther appears to be wearing the costume of Ronin, and Rocket has weaponized Groot. I think. Fans can pick up these variant covers throughout the month of April.

When a Civil War tore apart the Marvel heroes, it wasn’t Iron Man and Captain America who were fighting at its center. Heroes Reborn drops us into the middle of a world where the Marvel landscape has been radically recast and reshuffled, in some ways that I think will be surprising.”
