On Friday, Netflix released the first trailer for the second season of their anthology series, Love, Death & Robots. Just like the first volume, this group of shorts will feature a hyperactive mix of horror, comedy, and action via a pastiche of gorgeous animation styles.
It also looks like Santa Claus will make an appearance at some point.
As you likely expected, the trailer provides some all-too brief glimpses of unsettling realism, dystopian futures, and a dash of comedy.
As much as I love the monsters and brutal action/violence from the first season, ‘Three Robots’ was a contender for my favorite chapter. Maybe that’s why despite all the cool stuff we saw in this new trailer, I’m most excited to discover out what’s going on with those dog walking robots (as long as the dogs don’t get hurt, of course).

All episodes of Love, Death & Robots Volume 2 (no word on how many that will be) premiere May 14 on Netflix. A third volume of the series is already scheduled to be released at some point in 2022.
