On Saturday, Disney released its first trailer for Season 3 of Star Wars: The Mandalorian to the public. Folks at Star Wars Celebration a few months ago have already seen it, but now everyone can feast their eyes on an HD version.

The trailer opens with footage from prior seasons, accompanied by a voice-over of the Armorer scolding Din Djarin for removing his helmet. As you may recall, this occurred in The Book of Boba Fett‘s fifth episode, where Djarin was told he was no longer a Mandalorian. The only way to rectify this was to bathe in the water beneath the Mandalore‘s mines — a task made exponentially more complicated since it was razed by the Empire during the Great Purge.
Thankfully, Djarin is always up for a life-threatening challenge.

In addition to returning to his home planet, Djarin finds himself at odds with Bo Katan. We also see him and Grogu getting to see plenty of other folks, including:
- More Mandalorians
- Greef Karga
- Doctor Pershing
- Peli Motto
- Babu Frik (!)
There was also lots of action and what appeared to be significantly more space dogfighting — something that should be a lot of fun to watch in Djarin’s suped-up N1-Starfighter.
Season 3 of Star Wars: The Mandalorian will premiere sometime in 2023.
