[Fantastic Fest ’22] ‘Werewolf by Night’ makes World Premiere at Fantastic Fest

‘Werewolf by Night’ makes appearance at Fantastic Fest Secret Screening.

Werewolf by Night made its world premiere at Fantastic Fest as a Secret Screening. The special will debut on Disney+ on October 7th. Those in attendance at Fantastic Fest were able to see the the movie how director Michael Giacchino said it should be done – on the big screen. The Marvel Studios Special is split into two distinct parts. The first half works on building the tension. The second act goes all in on the trademark Marvel action.

Werewolf by Night is easily the most violent release from Marvel. There are some very graphic moments that will be surprising to longtime Marvel Cinematic Universe fans. The show is not all blood and guts, but it does not shy away from gore, either. This does not mean it does away with the comedy that has long been a staple of the MCU. There are some great moments with a character comic fans will know but is knew to Marvel movies.

The show is a nice addition to the Disney+ Marvel library. It pays homage to Universal monsters of the past while including modern touches. The decision to go black and white was a wise one and the soundtrack is perfect. Gael Garcia Bernal and Laura Donnelly are excellent in their roles.  It is great Halloween treat from Marvel.

Werewolf by Night comes to Disney+ October 7
