Marvel Legends: Drax and Moondragon 2-pack revealed

In case you couldn’t tell, this is definitely a set that’s based the characters’ appearance in the comics.

On Wednesday, Hasbro revealed a new Marvel Legends 2-pack featuring the comic versions of Drax the Destroyer and Moon Dragon.

Even if you’re an avid Marvel comic reader, this classic version of Drax probably isn’t the first one most of us think of anymore when the character is mentioned. I’d also completely forgotten that Moondragon is his daughter.

As for the set itself, both figures utilize plastic capes, which is sure to make a decent amount of folks grumpy. Drax’s paint job isn’t anything to write home about, but Moondragon’s looks phenomenal — particularly the facial portrait.

As for the lack of accessories, that’s mitigated a bit by the fact that the set includes an oversized figure and is still priced at $49.99 (approximately $25 a figure). Either Hasbro is finally starting to back off on toy prices or they realize that these characters aren’t going to be huge sellers.

If you’re an old school Guardians of the Galaxy fan who wants this set, however, it is available for preorder exclusively from Hasbro Pulse with expected arrival this fall. Check out more pictures of the set below!
