Fall is in full swing, and this season sees potential Game of the Year contenders release week after week. Sandwiched between them are plenty of indie games to ensure it’ll be impossible for you to not find exciting video games to play and fall in love with.
Let’s check out what video games are hitting storefronts this week.
Persona 5 Tactica (11/16)
Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S
Branching out from 2016’s Persona 5, Tactica sees the Phantom Thieves of Hearts thrown into an alternate dimension. They’re recruited to fight an oppressive regime in an emotional revolution. You’ll assemble a squad of allies, including powerful personas, to take down your enemies in tactical turn-based combat.
Spirittea (11/13)
Platforms: PC, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S
Spirittea mashes up Stardew Valley and Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away. You’ll run a spirit bathhouse, help resolve its guests’ issues, and befriend the locals. Guided by spirit cat Wonyan, you’ll take the bathhouse from downtrodden to respectable on your quest to garner as many five-star ratings as possible.
Super Mario RPG Remake (11/17)
Platform: Switch
After last month’s Super Mario Bros. Wonder, the year of Mario continues with Super Mario RPG Remake. You’ll team up with classic characters like Peach but almost make an ally out of unlikely enemy Bowser as you repair Star Road and defeat the Smithy Gang. An easier difficulty option, in-game bestiary for enemies, and ability to re-fight boss battles are included in the remake from ArtePiazza. Be careful, however, as spoilers have already leaked online.
Also worth checking out: Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, Dredge: The Pale Reach, The King of Fighters XIII Global Match, Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, The Walking Dead: Destinies, and Hogwarts Legacy on Switch.
