New ‘House of X/Powers of X: Chronological Edition’ #1 re-presents X-Men series

There’s a new way to read ‘House of X’ and ‘Powers of X’ via Marvel Unlimited.

Marvel Comics has released a new version of House of X and Powers of X, re-presenting the series in chronological order. Available via Marvel Unlimited, the new presentation features a letter by X-Men Senior Editor Jordan D. White explaining why they went this route and what it means.

Fans who are nervous Marvel is tinkering with their favorite Krakoa Era story should not be worried there’s been meddling. White explains it was approved to be released by Jonathan Hickman himself. As White explains, which you can read in full below, the idea was inspired by the deleted features of the film Memento. That film’s original cut featured a story told backward, which gave White the idea to offer House of X and Powers of X in a similarly reorganized format.

As we enter the final months of the Krakoan Era, it’s neat to see Marvel honor how it all started in new ways. Remember that you can fully acquaint yourself with X-Men via AIPT’s exclusive weekly X-Men Monday column. This past week, White delivered a drove of answers and reflected on the past year.
