Guillem March returns with creator-owned romantic thriller ‘Ofiusa’ this September

A mysterious love triangle, hidden agendas, and a paradise filled with secrets collide in Guillem March’s long-awaited new creator-owned series.

Acclaimed writer and artist Guillem March is stepping back into the spotlight as a solo creator with Ofiusa, a new six-issue romantic thriller arriving from Image Comics this September.

Known for his work on Batman, The Joker, Catwoman, and Karmen, March both writes and illustrates the series, which blends romance, mystery, and suspense against a backdrop of sun-soaked beauty and hidden secrets.

The story follows Joan, a young entrepreneur whose whirlwind romance with the captivating Mar seems destined for happiness. Elsewhere, in what appears to be another timeline, Joan encounters the mysterious Isla on a seemingly idyllic island. As the relationships between the three characters deepen, long-buried secrets begin to surface, setting the stage for a story filled with deception, desire, and unexpected revelations.

March’s artwork plays a central role in bringing the story to life, capturing both the allure of its exotic locations and the emotional complexities of its cast. The series promises a mix of romance, intrigue, and psychological tension as readers uncover the truth behind its interconnected characters.

To accompany the launch, March will provide multiple variant covers, including a Raw Art edition, a blank sketch cover, and a polybagged NSFW variant.

For March, Ofiusa represents a deeply personal project years in the making.

“With Ofiusa, I’ve created the kind of comic I enjoy reading as a fan,” said March. “I love the personal projects of creators with a unique voice. They might be a bit risky or outside the mainstream, and they’re certainly not for readers looking for more conventional comics, but they exude soul and a love for a job well done. Ofiusa has taken many years of work, and it’s a bit dizzying to think it’s finally seeing the light of day, but it’s the comic I’m most proud of to date.”

With its combination of romance, mystery, and striking visuals, Ofiusa looks poised to showcase a different side of one of comics’ most accomplished artists.
