Vault Comics has announced the return of Corin Howell’s breakout horror series with Lilith: Blood & Burlesque, a brand-new comic launching this October. Teased in 2025, the series reunites Howell with colorist Warnia Sahadewa and letterer Haley Rose-Lyon for the next chapter in Lilith and Penny’s story as the pair continue searching for a way to send the immortal demon back to her home dimension.
“Blood & Burlesque follows Lilith shortly after the end of our first chapter,” Howell said. “Her journey home hits a snag when Penelope’s shop is in trouble, leading to sexy pinup calendars and pink princess pilates! But there’s a shadow on the horizon in the shape of old faces from Lilith’s past, including demon dogs and a massive masked monster butler.”
Howell also teased that Lilith’s greatest challenge may be emotional rather than supernatural.
“That’s nothing compared to Lilith’s biggest hurdle: facing her growing feelings for Penelope,” Howell added.
The character first became a social media sensation through Howell’s illustrations, earning millions of likes across multiple platforms before making the leap to comics. Vault published the original Lilith series in 2024, where it quickly sold through multiple printings and earned critical acclaim.
The series follows Lilith, an immortal demon banished from a dimension resembling humanity’s version of hell. Living on Earth as a model while secretly feeding on humans, her plans change after meeting Penelope, a bookstore owner whose mysterious tome may hold the key to getting Lilith home.
The new series picks up after the destruction of Penny’s bookstore. To raise money for repairs, Michael proposes creating a risqué fundraising calendar, much to Lilith’s annoyance. At the same time, Lilith and Penny continue translating the mysterious book that could open a path home. Their progress is threatened when two seductive and dangerous figures from Lilith’s past arrive at a burlesque show, forcing her to confront secrets she’s kept from Penelope.
Lilith: Blood & Burlesque #1 will also feature a lineup of variant covers by Mirka Andolfo, Suspiria, Luana Vecchio, Chloe, Garth Graham, and more when it arrives in comic shops this October.
