Ultimate Spider-Man is nearly upon us as the first issue launches next week, and today, AIPT has the exclusive preview for the first issue! It’s highly anticipated in part as it’s the first ongoing series to release for the Ultimate Universe line. Following it will be Ultimate X-Men and Ultimate Black Panther. X-Men Krakoa Era mastermind Jonathan Hickman and superstar artist Marco Checchetto also craft it.
“When we decided that we were going to do a book about an older Peter Parker becoming Spider-Man, we wanted to lean into him starting his superhero life from a very different place than what’s traditionally expected,” Hickman explained last year. “Peter and MJ being married is one of many decisions we made that underline this being quite a ‘different’ kind of Spider-man story.”
