James Wan has made a name for himself in the horror genre having directed films in the Saw, The Conjuring, and Insidious franchises. He is taking those sensibilities to television with the upcoming series, Teacup.
Teacup is based off of the New York Times bestselling novel, Stinger, written by Robert McCammon. The story “follows a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat in order to survive.”
Recently, the teaser trailer for the show dropped and you can find it below. It’s still very mysterious since after viewing the video, you still don’t have a good clue at what’s going on. But the unknown does give you chills.
James Wan’s Atomic Monster produces the series, and are joined by first-time showrunner Ian McCulloch (Yellowstone). It stars Yvonne Strahovski (The Handmaid’s Tale), Scott Speedman (Grey’s Anatomy), and Chaske Spencer (The English).
The first two episodes of Teacup premiere October 10 on Peacock.
