“This entire Dragon entrance was very fun to create,” Junepurr told us via email. “There is a tension that builds as the characters recall the history of the war and how much hinges on the alliance. The confrontation at the palace steps is the first indication that things might go wrong, up until the Red Dragon swoops in from above.”
Junepurr continued, “A lot of the chaos and fear of this scene is conveyed through the reactions of the horses (and our main characters of course), which behave like prey animals ambushed by a predator. I imagine that’s how most of us would feel if a 20ft growling dragon showed up.”
