Horror and sci-fi come together in ‘The Feeding’ out October 23

In ‘The Feeding,’ Nolan Ward has done everything to forget his disturbing past. Drinking. Drugs. Day-Trading.’

Image Comics has released a preview for The Feeding, a new one-shot throwback to self-contained horror and sci-fi stories in the vein of Tales from the CryptCreepshow, and The Twilight Zone. Written by David M. Booher with art by Drew Zucker, fans can purchase the one-shot on October 23rd, wherever comics are sold.

“I’m thrilled to celebrate spooky season with The Feeding,” said Booher. “I grew up on horror stories, so it’s a treat to work with my buddy Drew Zucker to create this creepy love letter to series like Tales from the Crypt and Creepshow. Huge thanks to comics champion Chris Ryall with Syzygy Publishing and Image Comics for helping us bring this labor of love to a wide audience. Halloween is just around the corner, and readers are in for a bloody treat!”

So what’s The Feeding about?

In The Feeding, Nolan Ward has done everything to forget his disturbing past. Drinking. Drugs. Day-Trading. Sex. And still, that past has caught up with him in the form of a twisted painting called The Feeding…that eats people. And it’s hungry. Can Nolan stop this demon or will he be devoured like so many others before him? Readers will go on a surreal journey into one man’s bloody psyche…to a place and time when art is dangerous and no one is safe. Booher and Zucker are joined by Vittorio Astone on colors and Andworld Design on letters to bring this terrifying tale to life.

“It’s so exciting to be revisiting horror as a genre and to be doing it with this team,” said Zucker. “We’ve spent a lot of years now honing our skills and to have the chance to tell scary stories with this group really feels like being a kid telling ghost stories around the campfire. I can’t wait for everyone to get scared with us.”
