Career diplomat, Katherine “Kate” Wyler, originally took her position as the United States’ ambassador to the UK due to growing tensions in the Middle East. Now, she believes the source of all the drama is an inside job.
In the new season of The Diplomat, Kate must pick up the pieces after her husband was injured in a violent bombing. Not only must she carefully navigate her host government, but the Vice President of the United States is giving her problems considering the VP believes Kate is gunning for her job.
Season two of The Diplomat launches Thursday, October 31, on Netflix.
Holiday Mysteries
Mistletoe Murders began as a popular Audible Original audio series. It follows a woman named Emily Lane who runs a year round Christmas-themed store in a sleepy tourist town. In her downtime, she enjoys investigating local murders, utilizing some of her old dark habits. Her side hustle regularly puts her in contact with the town cop, who may have a slight crush on Emily.
The series is now being adapted for television. It stars Sarah Drew in the lead role with Peter Mooney as the cop, and Sierra Marilyn Rile as his daughter. The rest of the cast is comprised of Jean Yoon, Lara Amersey, and Kylee Evans. Guest starring this season are Tom Cavanagh, Jake Epstein and Steven Lund.
Mistletoe Murders premieres Thursday, October 31, on Hallmark+.
