Batman: The Dark Knight Returns 30th Anniversary Unboxing

It has been 30 years since Batman: The Dark Knight Returns hit shelves and DC Comics is commemorating the anniversary with a bunch of great stuff. We here at AiPT! got a sneak peek at a few of the items and decided to share it with y’all via the unboxing video below. But what’s the big deal anyway?

It all started in 1986 when Frank Miller, Lynn Varley and Klaus Janson took the Batman we thought we knew and changed everything with the release of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. The story was set in some kind of media addicted future similar to our own, but the infrastructure was crumbling and a hard hitting bone breaking Batman is what the people need. Frank Miller made Batman darker and edgier and comics have been different because of it ever since. After releasing the cartoon movie (which we’ve reviewed and compared to the graphic novel) we soon learned a sequel was in the works. We are three issues deep into that series and now there are some commemorative books and miniature busts to enjoy along with it.

Check out our unboxing video to get a closer look at these new goodies!
