Dynamite Entertainment has revealed one of its biggest launches of the year: Gargoyles / Fantastic Four, hitting shelves this November from writer Greg Weisman and artist George Kambadais. The series follows Marvel’s turn, with an October crossover.
First teased back in May, the crossover brings together two beloved franchises in a globe-shaking adventure. The Manhattan Clan receives a rare invite to tour the legendary Baxter Building, home of Marvel’s First Family — but their visit quickly spirals into chaos. Coldsteel and Dragon Man form an unlikely alliance that unleashes the destructive power of Annihilus, trapping Franklin Richards, Valeria Richards, and Gnash in the dreaded Negative Zone.
With their children — and the world — at risk, the extended families of both mythologies must rally together. It’s the first time the Gargoyles universe has crossed into another franchise, and the battle promises to be massive, with ancient stone guardians and cosmic-powered heroes fighting side by side.
“What could be better for Gargoyles’ first crossover than meeting the first family of the Marvel Universe?” said Greg Weisman. “Shared values, super-villains… and Mole Man!”
The creative team includes Gargoyles co-creator Greg Weisman and artist George Kambadais, whose work on Dynamite’s Gargoyles series since 2022 has defined the modern look of the characters. Jeff Eckleberry joins as letterer. The oversized special features 30 story pages, paired with a lineup of variant covers by Amanda Conner, Mark Bagley, Lucio Parrillo, Declan Shalvey, and Nicoletta Baldari.
