Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has reached a major milestone. Just five months after its release, the game has officially sold 5 million copies at the time of this article’s publication.
According to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s website, its developer, Sandfall Interactive, will be celebrating this victory by thanking fans with a brand-new update. According to the company, the new features will include the following.
- A new, playable environment, taking the characters of Expedition 33 to a brand-new location with new enemy encounters and surprises to discover.
- Challenging, new boss battles for late-game players to overcome.
- New costumes for each member of the Expedition, giving even more customization options for players throughout their adventure.
- New text and UI game localizations into Czech, Ukrainian, Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian, bringing the total number of supported languages to 19.
- And more to come…

Sandfall also expressed so much gratitude towards Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s fans in its announcement. “We spent years working on our dream project, and to know it has resonated with fans around the world in such a powerful way is both wonderful and overwhelming.”
While there isn’t a release date for this update yet, Sandfall said that it will be worth the wait. “Now we’re really looking forward to bringing you more of what we’re working on!”
