Marvel isn’t slowing down its symbiote saga anytime soon. Hot off the announcement of Death Spiral at New York Comic Con, the publisher also teased its next massive event: Queen in Black, arriving summer 2026.
Revealed during the Spider-Man and his Venomous Friends panel, Queen in Black will spin directly out of the acclaimed Venom run by Al Ewing and Carlos Gómez, along with the upcoming Knull solo series by Ewing, Tom Waltz, and *Juanan Ramirez. While full details are still under wraps, Marvel confirmed the event will center on Hela, the Asgardian goddess of death, seizing the mantle of symbiote supremacy in the Marvel Universe.
The crossover promises to escalate the already bloody and cosmic scope of Marvel’s symbiote mythology. With Spider-Man, Venom, Carnage, and Knull all freshly entangled in Death Spiral, Queen in Black looks to raise the stakes even higher — blending godlike power with the primal horror of the symbiotes. As Ewing hinted during the panel, fans can expect a story where “a symbiote can even become a guitar,” showing the creative chaos he plans to unleash.
With Knull reborn, Hela ascendant, and Earth and the cosmos hanging in the balance, Queen in Black has all the makings of Marvel’s next era-defining showdown. Stay tuned for more reveals as the summer event draws closer.
This is all spinning out of the cliffhanger in Venom #250.
