Marvel brings back ‘Ultimates’ #1–6 just in time for the Ultimate Universe’s explosive finale

This March, the essential first arc of Deniz Camp and Juan Frigeri’s ULTIMATES #1-6 returns with new printings, including an all-new cover by InHyuk Lee!

As the Ultimate Universe heads toward its finale, Marvel is giving readers a fresh opportunity to revisit where it all began. Ultimates #1–6—the foundational saga by Deniz Camp, Juan Frigeri, and Phil Noto—is returning to comic shops in a wave of new printings this March.

All six issues will be reprinted on March 4, perfectly timed ahead of the release of Ultimate Endgame #3. Each issue will feature a refreshed take on Dike Ruan’s original main cover, along with a variant by InHyuk Lee. The new printing of Ultimates #1 will include a completely new InHyuk Lee cover, while issues #2–6 will showcase updated versions of his earlier variant artwork. Marvel has also confirmed that additional Ultimates reprints are on the way, ensuring fans can catch up before the Ultimate line’s grand finale.

Before taking the reins of Ultimate Endgame, Camp established the emotional and thematic backbone of the Ultimate Universe with Ultimates. The series follows Tony Stark—operating under the mantle of Iron Lad—as he brings together a formidable team that includes Doom, Captain America, Thor, Ant-Man, America Chavez, Wasp, Sif, and She-Hulk. United by a desire for change, these heroes stand in direct opposition to the Maker and his shadowy rule.

As Stark builds a growing resistance of super-powered allies, the Ultimates set their sights on dismantling the Maker’s Council and restoring free will to a world manipulated from behind the scenes. Along the way, Captain America’s confrontation with the Maker’s impact on global power structures sparks a violent clash with the deadly Midas, while the team’s search for answers leads them straight to She-Hulk.
