So many video games, so little time! 2026 is already shaping up to be a big year in terms of gaming. With back-to-back releases, here are the video games hitting your stores this week.
Starfield (4/8) – PlayStation 5
Platform: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC
Following three years after release on Xbox and PC exclusively, Starfield is now set to land on PS5 for fans to enjoy that too right around the excitement of Artemis II launch. The game takes place in the year 2330 where humanity has journeyed into the stars and settled on new planets. Your character joins the Constellation, a group of space explorers seeking rare artifacts across the galaxy. Explore the vastness of space in this RPG by forming allies, making enemies and choosing your own decisions. Additionally, Starfield on PS5 comes with extra features such as controller’s adaptive trigger and touchpad functionalities along with a “Pro Performance Mode” for PS5 Pro users.
The Occultist (4/8)
Platform: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC
Fan of horror video games? The Occultist might seem right up your alley. Take on the role of Alan Rebel, a paranormal investigator who ends up in a nightmare landscape surrounded by entities and violent echoes in search for the truth. Using Alan’s mysterious pendulum, players can discover clues and occult objects while desperately trying to escape a supernatural presence. Blending first-person exploration with game’s theme described as “slow-burning psycho-horror,” The Occultist is guranteed to give you a few scares to kick-start your gaming week!
Pokémon Champions (4/8)
Platform: Switch, Switch 2
Pokémon Champions is a free-to-play online battle-focused game that features familiar mechanics like Pokémon types, abilities, and moves that is easily accessible to old and new players. But there is a catch and that catch is micro-transactions. The game will include a starter pack available at launch to purchase that includes: 50 more Pokémon in your storage box, some exclusive music packs, 30 Teammate Tickets and 50 Training Tickets. Additionally, the game will also have a Premium Battle Pass and Membership subscription for players to buy. Pokémon Champions will have the option to link with Pokémon Home which will allow players to team up with certain Pokémon brought over from past Pokémon series games and Pokémon GO.
