Couples’ Feud
The first season of Beef received critical acclaim and earned multiple awards. The series, created by Lee Sung Jin, followed two strangers who become involved in a bitter feud following a road rage incident.
Season two ups the stakes pairing couples against each other. The setting is a lavish country club where newly engaged Gen Zers, who serve as low level staff, witness their millennial boss and his wife have an appalling fight. Armed with the video of the events, the young couple try to gain influence at their work while their older rivals attempt to raise their status as well.
Steam season two of Beef beginning Thursday, April 16, on Netflix.
Crowning the Best Athlete
American Gladiators first began in the late 80s. It was a tournament style competition placing amateur athletes against both each other and the titular group in a series of physically demanding events. Now it’s coming back for a second time.
This version is hosted by WWE star Mike “The Miz” Mizanin and Rocsi Diaz with Chris Rose doing color commentary. There are 16 gladiators who will put contestants through the grinder in both classic events and totally brand new ones which will test the mettle of the competitors. In the end, one man and one woman will win $100,000 dollars.
American Gladiators premieres Friday, April 17, on Prime Video.
