Marvel’s breakout star is stepping into the spotlight. Jeff the Land Shark: Superstar is a new limited series from Kelly Thompson and Tokitokoro that puts Jeff front and center in a wild new adventure. This time, the chaos begins when an interdimensional TV mogul hatches a plan to boost ratings by kidnapping Jeff and making him the star of a reality show. Jeff is not facing it alone, though, as he finds himself leading a team of mashup heroes. The big question is how he escapes and whether his friends can reach him in time.
The news comes on the heels of Friends and Rivals getting the trade paperback treatment.
Marvel has also revealed Jeff’s new team on the cover of Jeff the Land Shark #2, arriving in August. These mashup characters will appear across a series of Superstar Variant Covers throughout July, featuring designs like Dazzlestorm, Magikhot, Wolverine-Man, Rambit, Kate-Locke, and Elsa Strange, all brought to life by top-tier artists.
Jeff’s popularity has continued to grow, from the Eisner Award-winning It’s Jeff Infinity Comic to his presence in Marvel Rivals. Now, he headlines his own solo series both on Marvel Unlimited and in comic shops, making it an easy entry point for new readers while still delivering for longtime fans.
The story kicks off with Jeff’s sudden disappearance, sending shockwaves across the Marvel Universe. Mojo is behind it all, aiming to produce his next hit show by capturing Jeff and his kleptomaniac companion Ken. Along the way, readers will meet new, over-the-top versions of familiar heroes, turning the adventure into a high-energy, unpredictable ride.
