Mad Cave Studios is gearing up to launch a new cosmic sci-fi thriller this summer with The Omega Book, a series that blends big ideas with deeply personal stakes. Written by James Patrick and illustrated by Pauli Junquera, with colors by Pauli and letters by Pat Brosseau, the series also features a variant cover by Christian Ward.
At the center of the story is Brady Parsons, a priest who unexpectedly comes into possession of pages from a mysterious book that contains the secrets of the universe. That knowledge quickly paints a target on his back, as powerful forces close in, willing to do anything to claim it. If the book ends up in the wrong hands, the consequences would be catastrophic on a cosmic scale. Forced into a world far beyond his understanding, Brady begins to uncover the truth behind the Omega Book, its origins, and the father he never fully understood.
Patrick explained that the emotional core of the story comes from complicated family relationships and the lingering questions that can remain after someone is gone. “We all have complicated relationships with family, myself not excluded, of course. These can lead to regrets if people pass away before the issues are resolved. We also think we know why we have fallouts or that we’re sure of the reasons people do the things they do, but perspective doesn’t always tell the truth. Especially over time. So I wanted to know what would happen if I got one more chance to get some clarity after someone was gone.”

With a mix of cosmic mystery, existential questions, and high-stakes tension, The Omega Book aims to deliver a story rooted in faith, obsession, and the unknown. The first issue arrives in comic shops on August 5, 2026, with a Final Order Cutoff set for July 13.
