It might only be June, but Disney is making holiday announcements already with their upcoming special Mickey’s Home Alone. It’s never too early because before you know it, the season will be soon approaching.
Mickey’s Home Alone is a new full length Christmas special set to debut later this year. It will feature the two original songs “Ho-Ho-Home for Christmas” and “Favorite Christmas Feeling” written by Keith Harrison Dworkin along with a new arrangement of the classic “Jingle Bells” with a score by Tony Morales.
The story finds Minnie surprising the entire gang with tickets to a world-famous Ice Palace for Christmas. The morning they are set to leave for their trip, both Mickey and Pluto are accidentally left at home due to the chaos. The pair must then protect the house from two burglars, a raccoon and weasel, who are set on stealing their Christmas dinner. All the while, Minnie and the rest of the gang desperately try to make their way back to their friends. Sounds so close to another holiday classic that has almost the same name.
The special is produced by Wild Canary in association with Disney Junior. It is executive-produced by Tom Rogers and co-executive produced by Rachel Ruderman, with Shane Prigmore as director.
Mickey’s Home Alone will debut in the 2026 holiday season on Disney Jr. and Disney+.
