Marvel Comics has announced new printings for the first three issues of its current Daredevil series, giving readers another chance to pick up one of the publisher’s biggest launches of the year.
Writer Stephanie Phillips and artist Lee Garbett’s acclaimed run will return to comic shops on July 29 with fresh printings, including a fourth printing of the sold-out debut issue. Each new edition will feature Marvel Television Variant Covers showcasing artwork from Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, now streaming on Disney+.
Since launching earlier this year, the series has emerged as a major success for Marvel. The title has sold more than half a million copies across its first three issues while introducing readers to a dramatically changed status quo for Matt Murdock and the growing threat posed by the mysterious villain Omen.
Phillips expressed her appreciation for the strong response from readers.
“Lee and I approached this book with so much love and excitement for Matt Murdock and his world,” Phillips said. “To be able to share that love with readers who are connecting so strongly with the story we’re telling is one of the greatest feelings, and I am so grateful for the support that has brought DAREDEVIL into even more printings. I promise… we’re just getting started.”
The additional printings arrive as interest in the Man Without Fear continues to grow across both comics and television. For readers who missed the first issues or want to add the new television-inspired covers to their collection, July 29 will offer another opportunity to jump aboard one of Marvel’s most talked-about ongoing series.
