What is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: 100 Project, you ask?

“The Turtles take center stage in Hero Initiative’s famous “100 Project” format! IDW created a limited number of blank variant covers for the landmark Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #50, and Hero Initiative sent them to 100+ top artists to create original covers! The results are here for you to see, with great art from Dan Brereton, Dale Keown, Whilce Portacio, Stan Sakai, Bill Sienkiewicz, Walt Simonson and of course, Kevin Eastman!

Proceeds benefit Hero Initiative, the only charity dedicated to helping comic book creators in medical or financial need!”

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: 100 Project TPB collects the variant covers created for this project and assembles them in one beautiful package that is sure to please any TMNT fan. Aside from the good cause that benefits from the proceeds of this collection, there are some fantastic pieces of art to be found throughout book that make it worth more than the cover price. And trust me, you’re going to want to keep this one handy, because flipping through it once just isn’t going to be enough.

Here are some of my favorites:

If you are currently reading this article, I think that it’s safe to say that you—yes, I’m talking to you—enjoy reading comic books, right? Of course you do. If you didn’t then you wouldn’t be here right now. I also think that it’s safe to say that you care about the creators of the comics you read. I know that I do, but unfortunately, more often than not, my support for these creators fails to extend past the purchase of a product that they worked on. By purchasing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: 100 Project TPB you’ll be helping comic book creators who can really use the assistance. To learn more about the Hero Initiative visit their site by visiting the Hero Initiative’s website.

To close, I absolutely recommend picking up a copy of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: 100 Project for yourself or as a gift for a TMNT fan. Proceeds benefit the Hero Initiative, and there is some serious talent on display here. You’ll be glad that you picked this one up.
