Last week’s episode of Raw effectively fleshed out its main storylines, while leaving the undercard in the dust. This week looks to build more on the road to No Mercy, with several high-profile segments announced, including Braun Strowman facing his biggest challenge yet.

Braun Strowman vs. John Cena
Last week, BRAUUUUNNN! systematically dismantled the World’s Largest Athlete, delivering a brutal running powerslam through a wall of the unforgiving steel cage to the outside. Before he sets sights on Brock Lesnar and the Universal Championship, however, he must focus on overcoming the largest obstacle in his way yet: John Cena.
Cena wrestled a competitive match with Jason Jordan before putting away the General Manager’s son with an Attitude Adjustment. After picking up a physical victory, he added another verbal one to his collection as he tore down an angry Roman Reigns, who stormed the ring after Cena’s match. Cena has the herculean task of taking down the Big Dog at No Mercy, so this monumental match between he and Strowman is quite the roadblock for both competitors.
Brock Lesnar to respond to Braun’s vulgar display of power
There is no doubt that the Beast Incarnate was watching Braun Strowman manhandle the WWE’s resident giant last week on Raw. The reigning, defending, undisputed Universal Champion, who has been feeling a bit more comfortable on the mic lately, has the chance to respond tonight, when he appears live on Raw. Will things get physical? Well, probably.
Roman Reigns vs. Jason Jordan
While Cena must go up against the Monster Among Men tonight, Roman Reigns’ night won’t exactly be a walk in the park either. Though Jason Jordan is obviously not the physical specimen Strowman is, he is an accomplished wrestler hungry for his time in the spotlight. A surprise upset against a distracted Big Dog could be the ticket he needs to superstardom.
Miz TV with special guest Enzo Amore
The Realest Guy in the Room has taken his talents to 205 Live, and has been racking up wins against some of the best wrestlers in the world, no matter how illicit his means have been. Before his showdown with the King of the Cruiserweights, Neville, for the Cruiserweight Championship at No Mercy, the Smacktalker Skywalker will have the opportunity to do what he does best tonight: Run his mouth.
The Miz is coming off a well-earned, clean victory against Jeff Hardy to retain his Intercontinental Championship, and is counting down the days until he is the longest reigning Intercontinental Champ of all time. He should be in a gloating mood tonight, and rightfully so. Miz TV will feature the two best talkers in the company tonight, so don’t be surprised if this turns out to be an explosive segment.
