Is Chris Jericho setting up a match with Kenny Omega on a cruise ship?

It could all go down on the Cruise of Jericho…sail away mannnnn…

Recently, Chris Jericho announced "Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager At Sea," a five-day cruise from Miami, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas, setting sail October 27-31, 2018. The cruise, as the name suggests, looks to be a combination of rock n’ roll, pro wrestling, and, well, raging. The Norwegian Jade, dubbed "The Ship of Jericho" for this trip, will host a Ring of Honor wrestling tournament hosted by Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler, comedy by the likes of Jim Breuer, and more.

From the website’s FAQ page:

Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Rager at Sea is Chris’ visionary take on combining the worlds of rock and wrestling with a once in a lifetime amazing vacation experience. On this breakthrough holiday adventure brought to you by Chris Jericho and Sixthman, you’ll enjoy live band performances, outrageous artist-hosted activities and a Sea of Honor Tournament with over a dozen Ring of Honor wrestlers competing on an outdoor wrestling ring for all guests to enjoy. Don’t be a stupid idiot and make The List, get ready to sail away on the Cruise of Jericho!

This is all a lot to take in to begin with, but in the past few days, Chris Jericho has seemingly picked a fight with Bullet Club leader and current IWGP United States Champion Kenny Omega on Twitter.

Now, Jericho is known to work the fans on the internet from time to time, but this confrontation has led many to draw the conclusion that they are working to set up a clash between the two on the cruise. Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer weighed in on this rumor on his daily radio show:

I mean, yeah, it’s possible — they’re bringing Ring of Honor talent on the cruise…Could they do a match on a cruise? It’s possible…I wouldn’t expect it, but Jericho’s a free agent. Could they be doing something somewhere? It may just be them doing it to get a rise out of people, but the way Jericho’s been pushing it, like "New Japan is overrated and Kenny Omega is overrated"…it almost makes me feel like there’s more to the story. If he believed that, he would be a guy who would be professional enough to not say anything. So when I saw him saying that, my thought was that perhaps he’s trying to run his own angle.

So you’re saying there’s a chance…
