A short time ago in a living room far, far away….

Don’t worry, I won’t make you suffer through my undoubtedly poor attempt at cleverly replacing the opening crawl of A New Hope with my own modified version. Instead we’ll talk about LEGO! More specifically this fantastic new LEGO toy straight out of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Ahch-To Island Training with Luke, Rey and of course a cute little porg. LEGO has recreated Luke’s home on Ahch-To, complete with the rock Rey used to train in lightsaber combat and of course they included a porg. Ahch-To is special because it’s the location of the first-ever Jedi Temple, but even more so because it’s the home of Luke Skywalker and the location that Rey received her training in the Jedi arts. Be sure to check out our unboxing below, as you’ll get to see us put Luke’s home together brick by brick and dive into all the cool little Easter eggs Lego has left for fans.

As you can see I was extremely pleased with the job LEGO did in recreating Luke’s home. Star Wars fans are a passionate group of people who take their fandom very seriously, so as a Star Wars fan it was great to be able to put together a toy that properly represented one of the most important locations from The Last Jedi. I love the idea of making the attachable land pieces removable. Since they’re basically plug and play, you have the option of creating multiple different scenes with one toy. Luke, Rey and the porg all had excellent facial expressions. Luke’s tired, grim and resigned demeanor was there; Rey had two options — fierce and happy; while the porg’s face was the perfect recreation of when Chewbacca was making dinner out of his companions. LEGO even remembered to include a metal hand for Luke. That’s the type of attention to detail that I’m looking for. For $30 this toy is well worth your money.
