[Watch] Official teaser trailer for Shane Black’s The Predator (2018)

The Hunt continues…

Shane Black’s (Iron Man 3, Lethal Weapon) The Predator has seen its shares of delays but the hunt continues with this official teaser trailer from 20th Century Fox:

Listen to the latest episode of our weekly movies podcast, Adventures in Movies!

From the synopsis:

From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series.

Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.

How that kid got his hands on alien tech remains to be seen. But this is why you don’t open strange packages without your parents’ permission, children. Also, we’re not overly excited at the prospect of the Predator doing gene-splicing (we’d much rather see him using updated or divergent technology, ala the Wolf from Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem), but we’ll give this a shot nonetheless. Plus, this tweet from Black offers some interesting perspective on the gene-splicing angle:

The Predator hits theaters on September 14, 2018 and stars Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey and Yvonne Strahovski.
