Respawn’s Vince Zampella was quickly interviewed at Electronic Arts’ E3 conference, where he spilled the beans on a brand new Star Wars game coming down the pipeline. The game will be called Star Wars: Jedi: Fallen Order, and according to Zampella, takes place “during the dark times — I’m being a little vague here — when the Jedi are being hunted.”
That sounds an awful lot like Order 66, the order Emperor Palpatine carried out in Revenge of the Sith to hunt down the Jedi and overthrow the Galactic Republic, resulting in the Empire. And indeed, Zampella confirmed that the game takes place “between episodes III and IV.” He also confirmed that you will in fact be playing a Jedi.
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to play the game for a long while. According to Zampella, the game will be available holiday season 2019 — a full year and a half from now.
