While browsing my feed of interesting gaming news this morning, this video jumped out at me. Elysium Fire, a minecraft builder channel on Youtube, has created this amazing Novigrad build, and uploaded this time lapse video.
As someone who is not a deep Minecraft player, the size and scope of this is incredible. Here’s the details they included in the comments of this video:
There are a lot of questions, so here is some information about the map :
– build : 18 builders, about 1k hours worked all in all, 6 months
– film : 3 teams mobilized, 15 timelapse sessions (about 15 hours), 3 months
More information about the builds : +700 houses (all different of course !), 4 churches, around 10 boats, many easter eggs (good luck !)
This city was impressive in The Wild Hunt, but with the limitations of rendering the huge number of citizens gone, this build seems to get even more complex. Download it here if you want to check it out yourself.
