A brand new Symbiote is introduced in Venom: First Host #3

A brand new Symbiote has entered the playing field.

SPOILERS ahead. You’ve been warned.

Before you read the spoilers read our review.

Mike Costa and Mark Bagley are actively rewriting the Symbiote that makes Eddie Venom in Venom: First Host, and it’s an exciting time to be a fan. In the first two issues, we’ve learned the Symbiote had a previous life with a Kree alien working to stop the Skrulls and end the Kree/Skrull War. In the second issue, the Kree bastard stole Eddie’s costume, but Eddie had a backup baby Symbiote to call his own. Yep, it’s the baby of the Venom Symbiote.

If you’ve read Marvel Comics with Symbiotes you’ll note new versions are always different and this one is no exception.

It’s a banger of a design by Bagley if I do say so myself. It has yet to get a name, but Eddie will likely name it in due time. Or someone else will. Customary of Symbiotes, it also has new powers.

So maybe it’s less sharp knives and more manipulative? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: It has one creepy smile.
