Our first look at Netflix’s Witcher series is Henry Cavill as Geralt!

The upcoming Netflix series gives us a glimpse of the monster hunter hitting the potions.

Netflix has released a costume and make-up test for their upcoming Witcher tv series, giving us our first look at Henry Cavill as the Butcher of Blaviken himself – Geralt:

This series, based off the books by Andrzej Sapkowski, takes place about 20 years before the events of the Witcher series of games. His more iconic scars – like his eye scar from the cockatrice of Malta and his neck gash from Foltest’s striga – happen far after this time in his life, but his white hair and yellow cat pupil eyes are recreated here quite well.

Knowing Cavill, I assume they’ll be using cgi to insert a beard for the duration of the series.

This looks very close to form, and I think shows that the showrunners are staying true to the source material in inspiration as well as design.

This show can’t drop soon enough.
