Today Blizzard announced a new in-game Overwatch event, Ana’s Bastet Challenge. The event will take place from today January 8, through January 21. Players who compete in the Ana themed event will have the opportunity to earn five brand-new sprays, a player icon, a victory pose, and the epic Bastet Ana skin for a total of eight new in-game rewards.

Blizzard tells us that Ana adopted the guise of a guardian named “Bastet” to protect her the people of Cairo, Egypt. Michael Chu, lead Overwatch writer, provides further detail of the Bastet guise in a new short story, “Bastet”.
Victories in Quick Play, Competitive Play, and Arcade will count towards earning players these limited-time rewards – player icon, victory pose, and a new epic skin, Bastet Ana. These rewards are in addition to the weekly rewards that come from Arcade mode and normal loot box rewards from leveling.
The amount of victories to earn each reward is as follows:
- Player Icon – 3 victories
- Victory Pose – 6 victories
- Bastet Ana skin – 9 victories
Players can also earn rewards by watching select Twitch streamers. Blizzard has done this previously during the D.Va Nano Cola Challenge. Tuning in anytime from now to January 21 will provide you with the opportunity to earn five Ana Bastet Challenge sprays. It’s important to know that to be eligible to receive the rewards you must link your Blizzard and Twitch accounts.
