A major DCU revelation has been staring us in the face since Justice League #14

A huge adventure awaits for Hawkgirl.

Spoilers ahead. You’ve been warned. For more, read our review.

Without a doubt, Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV are building towards something in the DCU. That something is huge and all reaching potentially changing continuity forever. That’s why when a character says something ever so curious you prick up your ears. After the dust has settled in Justice League #16 Hawkgirl and Shayera Hol have a short parlay and Hol says something quite interesting.

An entire dimension for gods you say? Sure, the first thing that came to mind was Marvel’s Asgard, but this is something much bigger. In fact, we got a clue two issues earlier. In a scene occurring in Justice League #14, Hawkgirl reveals her wings.

You can tell the weight of what Hol is reading by her complete awe of Hawkgirl’s powers in Justice League #14. She’s even speechless.

It seemed weird at the time how Hol was in awe although it was obvious she was lying when asked what she saw.

Now we know. It’s a map to a godlike dimension. Now we just need to wait and see how long it takes Hawkgirl to chart a course.

This is only part of the story and I highly recommend reading Justice League #16 and the entire arc. You can buy the latest issue digitally today.
