Scout Comics’ ‘Fish Eye’ has been optioned for a movie

The series is described as ‘Die Hard meets The Truman Show.’

Now here’s a fairly unique premise. Fish Eye is described as Die Hard meets The Truman Show and follows a small town police detective. Unbeknownst to him, he’s the center of a reality show about his life and as ratings drop, the show’s producers start introducing more and more dangerous aspects into Travis’s life. It’s published by Scout Comics, written by Massimo Rossi and illustrated by Stefano Cardoselli.

Newsarama reports that a Fish Eye film is in development from Missing producers Gina Matthews and Grant Scharbo, under their Little Engine Productions label. Matthews said, ”Fish Eye has everything I love in horror: A fresh concept, thrilling scares, and characters that I connect to emotionally.’. Scout Comics CCO Tennessee Edwards said, ”Fish Eye is a gritty but compelling story that is as much about the characters as it is about the explosive and escalating action’.’

Fish Eye isn’t the only Scout Comic being adapted, with HenchgirlHeavenly BluesOnce Our Land and more in development as shows or films. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for Fish Eye.
