‘Cloak & Dagger’ Season 2 Trailer teases Mayhem

The vigilante Mayhem has blurred the lines of good and evil for Cloak & Dagger.

Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson are back to fight crime and face the battle of being teenagers in Freeform’s hit Marvel series Cloak & Dagger.

The first trailer for the second season was released Tuesday, and there’s a old face with a new attitude on the streets of New Orleans — Detective Brigid O’Reilly, now known as the vigilante known as Mayhem. First teased at San Diego Comic Con in 2018, Mayhem made her official appearance in the series’ new trailer. Take a look below!

The trailer reveals that this super-powered duo must confront a new and sinister problem plaguing their city, one that is particularly brutal for two young people to have to confront — sex trafficking. Thankfully the two have been training to master their powers and have embraced their roles as their city’s heroes. But even with their new control over their abilities, the forces they’re facing may be too much for them, that is until the appearance of Mayhem.

We saw in the season 1 cliffhanger that detective O’Reilly was reborn as Mayhem, saying “It’s my turn now.” Well now she’s back and she possesses none of the morals and scruples that young Cloak & Dagger do. From the trailer we can see that Mayhem’s idea of justice is going to cause serious friction between Cloak and Dagger, pushing the strength of their relationship and their abilities to the absolute limit.

Season 2 of Cloak & Dagger is set to premiere on April 4, 2019.
