First trailer for ‘Krypton’ Season 2 arrives

Featuring Doomsday, Zod and the Phantom Zone.

Superman’s story begins with an ending. His home planet, Krypton, is destroyed and he’s saved thanks to his parents. Most of the time we move forward as we see Clark grow and develop into the hero we know today. But a few years ago, I started to wonder – what was Krypton like? Before it was destroyed and with more time to get to know it and its’ people.

That’s exactly what we get with the SyFy series Krypton, which debuted last March. It’s set not only before the future Superman is born, but also before his father, Jor-El, was as well. It centres around his grandfather, Seg-El, played by Cameron Cuffe, with its’ 1st Season featuring terrorism, power struggles and a House of Zod so compelling I wouldn’t of turned down a full series on them.

In it, Adam Strange travelled back in time to stop Brainiac, whose actions could’ve prevented Superman’s birth. The 1st trailer for Season 2 has arrived, featuring what looks like the Phantom Zone, Colin Salmon’s General Zod and even Doomsday, the monster who kills Superman.

Most amusingly, when we get a look at Lobo, the last Czarnian, he has a strong Irish accent, which I actually like a fair bit.

Season 2 begins June 12th on SyFy.
