Warning: Spoilers for Game of Thrones S8E5 “The Bells” ahead.

Game of Thrones S8E5 “The Bells” may have been the most divisive episode in the series yet but one aspect that can’t be disputed is its aesthetic potency. Scenes such as Arya stumbling through the flaming wreckage of King’s Landing, Drogon setting King’s Landing ablaze and the epic showdown we’d all been waiting for, Clegane Bowl, were brought to life in stunning form and a big contributing factor was the beautiful concept art and storyboards which structured the scenes beforehand.
